Yes, our stylists are experienced with all hair types, including coily, curly, kinky, thin hair, thick hair, hair with alopecia, and straight hair textures. We welcome ALL types of clients and are not exclusive to only black/brown individuals which is why we started GLOBAL braids salon! We understand that each hair type requires a unique approach, and we tailor our services to your specific needs.
We use high-quality, natural hair care products that are specifically designed for Afro hair. We also create our own all natural hair products called "Biftu's Blends" and use our signature pomade to soften and style our clients' hair. We sell these products and offer product recommendations based on your hair type and texture to help you maintain healthy and beautiful hair. We also use commercial strong hold gel and regular water based gel depending on the desired style.
Yes, we offer and suggest initial consultations to help you choose the best hair care regimen and styling options for your hair type and texture. During the consultation, we will assess the condition of your hair and recommend the best products and services for you.

Yes we do accept walk in services on a first come first serve basis. We do accept and encourage early morning walk-ins, but we recommend calling ahead of time to see how busy the salon is to ensure availability and estimate your wait time.
Typically, a full head of locs will take anywhere from 2-10 hours to complete at the salon. Smaller sections of hair will take less time.
Locs (Locks), also known as dreads or dreadlocks, are a hairstyle created by matting or locking strands of hair together to create rope like formations. Once started, locs can take 6 months to 3 years to finish forming depending on hair texture. It should be noted that locs are a (mostly) permanent hairstyle although some people may take down locs and re-start their loc journey. Locking your hair requires a serious commitment to be made in order to maintain healthy locs without damage. We recommend getting them retwisted or retightened monthly. This hairstyle has a long history in various cultures and is often associated with spiritual, religious, or cultural significance. While the term "dreadlocks" has historically carried negative connotations, many prefer the term "locs" to avoid these associations.
